My McBusted Experience

[Top Left: Matt on the UFO playing Star Girl]
[Centre Left: The entrance on the Back To The Future car]
[Bottom Left: Tom singing Shine A Light with 'McBusted' written in fire behind]
[Right: The rising of the UFO]

I didn't initially aim on doing a blog post about a concert but there was quite a lot I wanted to share so I thought 'why not?'.
I'm going to keep this as spoiler free as possible (apart form the images above)
Firstly, I'd like to mention that before this I was the kind of person that didn't do loud music, flashing lights everything in your face, so I had never been to a concert before (except a Hilary Duff concert, but that's another story). I was a concert-virgin.
In October I was asked by my friends if I would like to come to a McBusted concert, I said no. They tried to get tickets and unfortunately couldn't. A few days later McBusted released more dates and my friends asked again 'are you sure you don't want to come?', I said yes.
Now, McBusted (for those who don't know) is a merging of the band McFly and 2/3 of Busted.
They were two separate bands who have joined together to make a super group for a special tour this year. The super group consists of 6 boys: [from left to right] Danny, Dougie, Matt, James, Tom and Harry.

On 21st May 2014 I went to The Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, along with 4 others, and had the best night of my life. We had great seats which were in the centre of the two performance stages (Main Stage and UFO) and we could see their faces clearly. The energy that was in the room was insane, the huge amount of fun that all of the audience was having was purely just what was radiated off the boys onstage. They were so enthusiastic and funny that there were no faults.
As I told you, I had never been to a concert before, but this concert kind of brought out my wild side. I may have shouted a few crazy things such as 'I love you', 'I love your boobies', 'I want your babies' and 'harder' (don't ask) ;).
Over all, it was the best experience EVER. For my first concert to be a rock/pop concert, it was daring, but it was the best.
For those who are going: enjoy.
For those who have been: OMG, right?
Others: You should get tickets!

April Favourites

I've been so excited to do this post for a while because there have been some distinct favourites of mine throughout this month.

Firstly, The Fault In Our Stars isn't really classed as a monthly favourite because I actually read it in January but just never got round to giving it a full appreciation. It's honestly a spectacular book and I really do think about it daily and how certain aspects of it affect the way I think. It's a piece of beautiful literature and you'll feel the saddest and happiest feelings. This came in my John Green box set which is such a great, I recommend people to get that.

I was late on the bandwagon with getting a Tangle Teezer because I was never entirely sure if they were up to their job and worth all of the fuss. I got one for Christmas as a little extra off my sister and I've been really liking it lately. I don't use it all the time because I have long hair and it needs a much larger brush through it but for softening my hair every now and then.

This Gold Necklace featured in my recent haul post. I bought it from Primark and I really love it because it goes with many outfits.

I bought this Striper Brush in WAH, back in February and I've only just got around to finally using it. It's an empty nail varnish bottle which you put Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover into with a striper brush. It's very versatile because I can now create nail art stripes with whichever colour I want.

This L'Oreal Nail Varnish in shade 205 Rose Bagatelle has been my favourite for a while. I bought this shade when actually on the search for 204 but I've actually decided that I like this one better. It's a nude/pink colour which is lovely and subtle, just the colour that I love to wear.

This Heart & Home Candle in Rambling Rose was a Christmas present that I started burning in April and I think it's a great dupe for Yankee Candle's Fresh Cut Roses, if not, stronger. It's a great smell to get you through spring and lightens up your day.

My film favourite of April would be The Amazing Spiderman 2 (which I actually went to see in May, but it was released in April). I am NOT an action film lover and have poor knowledge in Superheros but after watching The Amazing Spiderman I was soo eager to see the sequel and I wasn't disappointed. I loved it!! The actors were excellent and the storyline was thrilling. I recommend.

What are your April Favourites?

How To Cook: Pizza Balls

On Monday, my friends and I decided to make pizza rolls. I wasn't following off any particular recipe or instructions, it was simply an idea that I'd seen floating around online and decided to cook myself.

This was our first time cooking them, we didn't have a while to cook them (we ate them for lunch) so we used pre-made dough because making dough would've taken too long and been too difficult.

The result was great, you can add any thing you'd prefer but the way we did it is credible, I was very proud.

Ingredients:
•Cheddar cheese/mozzarella
•Any pizza topping(s) of your choice, I used pepperoni.
•A casserole dish, I used a glass Pirex dish.
•Dough, I used Jus-Rol pizza base dough.
•Tomato purĂ©e, my dough came with tomato base sauce.
If you wish:
•1 egg
•Mixed Herbs/Italian spice

Step by Step:
Step 1: You can prepare all of your ingredients now. Your dish will need a light rub of cooking oil and you'll need to crack one egg into a bowl/jug and whisk gently for an egg wash. The cheese will need cutting into little blocks and the pepperoni into quarters. Preheat the oven at about 180° (fan) Gas Mark 6.

Step 2: Roll out the dough and cut circles about the size of the rim of an average glass. By the end of this we just started cutting squares because we didn't want to waste any dough. You can do either.

Step 3: Using tomato purĂ©e or pizza base sauce you need to smear a small blob in the centre of the dough shapes.

Step 4: Place the cheese and topping on top of the sauce, trying to keep it all centred. Then fold all the edges to the centre in order to close the wrap. It's OK to stretch the dough, as long as it doesn't split.

Step 5: Continue them steps until you've got as many as you'd like and used all of the dough. Place the dough balls in the dish with the fold gathering downwards. It's important for them to be spaced out and not touching each other, if they do, they may merge whilst rising.

Step 6: Swipe over a even coat of egg wash, but not too much. You can use an oiling brush for this, or even just a table spoon. The egg wash gives a golden and crispy finish, it is optional.

Step 5: Sprinkle over some salt, pepper and mixed herbs/Italian spices. This is optional.

Step 6: Place in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes - until golden.

Then, VoilĂ ! These are delicious and great if you're having guests.
Hope you enjoyed.

1 Year On: Cambridge Satchel Review

I got my Cambridge Satchel on my birthday last year and now that March has arrived it's getting closer to my next birthday (18th March) meaning I will have had my satchel for a year.

When I first got my satchel I posted about it (that was in my early blogging stages, oh dear). Basically, it's an 11" satchel in the colour 'vintage' and is £99.00.  It's a hard leather bag but it really is leather and skilfully made.

Advantages and disadvantages:

A:
  • This colour is so-o-o gorgeous and compliments a great casual outfit.
  • It's not heavy and the strap isn't too wide that it weighs down.
  • It's very secure because the buckles are genuine (no hidden magnets)
  • I love the way the Cambridge satchel logo is on the back so you can prove to people it's an actual satchel.
  • A piece like this is something to treasure and is a great traditional bag.
  • The leather is really soft to touch on the outside.
  • You get compliments when you wear it.
  • They are available in a hu-u-uge range of colours and designs.
D:
  • It's very thin. I don't know if they get thicker as bigger but I can't fit much into this bag.
  • It takes a while to get into if you're in a rush due to buckling.
  • I have to wedge whatever is in there, together to stop it all rattling as I walk, but I think I'm just picky.
  • The leather on the straps on my buckles is getting weak.

I know these satchels might not be for everyone but I am so glad that I have mine and I will proudly wear it for years and keep it to show my grandchildren. They are definitely worth their big price and I totally have my eyes on the pink ones and the new shoulder bags.

If you're looking to get one of these then I completely recommend them, they are lovely.

London Fashion Week and 221B

I never deny that every time I visit London I instantly turn into a fascinated tourist. The shops, the sights and the typical London things just get better and better. This weekend was the start of London Fashion week so I got involved in that by visiting Somerset House. I also visited 221b Bakerstreet which is the home of Sherlock Holmes.

At 221B there was a huge gift shop which was full of Sherlock related things from syringe-pens to real pipes. You could go up to the room (pay for tickets) which Mr.Holmes and Dr.Watson lived in at 221b but I didn't have time. I bought a 'Baker Street' plaque in the shop and fangirled over the Season 1, 2 & 3 DVDs and the Sherlock Cluedo.

Sommerset House during fashion week is full of your fashion bloggers dressed head-to-toe in fabulous garments. It's where some of the best street-style is and sometimes there are celebrities walking around from show to show and/or being interviewed (I saw Myleene Class and Hilary Alexander, my sister met Kendall Jenner, Kate Moss, Suzie Bubble and Anna Wintour at the Topshop show). I snapped my favourite street-style looks whilst I was there and received a LFW goodie bag and a Boohoo.com goodie bag.

LFW is an amazing experience, especially for bloggers. If you'd like to go then SS15 will be in September which I'd love to go to.

Have you ever been to London, if you have what's the best thing you've done there?
